Book An Experience With Us!

Often organizations are looking for a way to honor and celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, Black History Month in February, or Juneteenth in June. We are a great resource and an option for many organizations in the city. We’ve built a strong reputation for sharing Black history on a local level here in the city of San Antonio.

We use documentary films that we have produced, interactive slide presentations that we’ve curated, and in-person tours that we offer. These are the options and resources we would love for you to consider.

Why Local Black History Matters

Black history in San Antonio is deeply connected to the city’s growth, culture, and identity. Long before modern development, Black residents helped build institutions, neighborhoods, schools, churches, and businesses that continue to shape the city today.

Learning this history at the local level helps people better understand San Antonio beyond its most commonly told narratives and recognize the contributions that are often overlooked.

Film & Presentation Experiences

Walk on the River: A Black History of the Alamo City is our flagship documentary. This project explores the early presence, contributions, and daily lives of African Americans in San Antonio. This award winning film series highlights local pioneers, community leaders, and institutions that helped shape the city.

In-person options include:

  1. Private film screenings with guided discussion

  2. Interactive slide presentations focused on Black pioneers, neighborhoods, and historical landmarks in San Antonio

These options work well for companies, schools, churches, conferences, and visiting organizations looking for an educational, engaging experience for their teams or members.
